So I've been going through this vista documentation. They have this
vsp thing, which looks like a sophisticated microphone emulation
reverb/panner, and in their introduction they give an entry-level
treatment of room acoustics (early reflections, late reflections, etc)
but there are no settings in the software for room size and
reverberance afaik.

Anyone have any idea why this is?

I can post a link if necessary, but it's on the studer site.

Thanks much in advance

If you haven't seen it, the .pdf document called "Virtual Surrounding
Panner" on this site: http://www.studer.ch/products/product.aspx?pid=44
gives details of the sort of application and use they see for this function
which might help.

Yeah, I saw that, but it was a little low on my priority list. I will
look at it tomorrow maybe. BTW I spoke to someone who used that board
for a few years and he says basically that the use of "reverb" in this
context should basically be treated as ad copy.

Thanks again

Joe
