** Slightly OT maybe, but I stumbled across this vid the other day:
Recorded by one of the audience in NY about a year ago, sound and images are
surprisingly good.
( Hear the guitarist quietly playing a famous Hendrix riff at the beginning
? )
The B52s were a huge hit here in Australia - " Rock Lobster " ( released
in 1979 ) was played to death on the radio as was the video on TV. Then,
after disappearing for a time, they came back in late 1989 with two monster
hits - " Love Shack" and " Roam".
" Love Shack" was No1 for 6 to 8 weeks across the country and stayed in the
top 50 for 6 months, " Roam" was not far behind.
Interesting fact: the rusty shack referred to in the song was where Kate
Pierson lived in the 70s.
