I think Zaxcom was the first company to do this.

The problems with this sort of things are many. First of all you need to have
codecs with very low latency. Secondly you're sending a spread-spectrum signal
and encoding and decoding that is going to add more latency. And, on top of
all that.... you're on an ISM band that is a dumping ground for trash.

That said, I know people have used the Zaxcom system and been fine with it.
