Is there anyone out there with an extra clip they would like to sell?
Any idea where else I might look? AKG don't sell them. Thank you.

Holy Guacamole Batman! $22 to $25 for these simple clips? And I thought
the $30 421 clips was outrageous ....

What I have done is to wrap the neck of the D112 mic with a bit of gaff
tape so it fits into a basic SM57 clip.

Any experienced soundman that isn't trying to sell you an expensive mic
clip will tell you the same thing.

Better yet, dump the D112 and get an Audix D6. Better sounding mic,
clips are readily available and inexpensive.

I'm not a D112 fan either, but the club where I've been working at has 2
of them. We also have a Beta 52. I use the 52 for single kick. I'll use
the D112's for double kicks or extra mics, like a bottom djimbe or bass
guitar mic. But I tend to avoid them. And, for the record, we use 57
clips & gaff on the 112 neck.

FWIW, the Audix D-Clip also works on the D112 and a bunch of other
mics. The gaff and the 57 clip sounds kind of sloppy. You can get the
D clips for $9.95 most places.

Sloppy? In my humble opinion, .... what I'm paid for is what comes out
of the speakers, ...... very few see how my mics are mounted. But my
mics are usually mounted well for the intended purpose. And my mix is
usually done professionally. ........ Usually .... Your Milage May Vary ...
